Last Hand Tonight was recorded by Junior Wells and, on this specific recording, Junior had hired one of the “baddest” horn sections around to lay it out, the “White Trash Horns” (they worked for years with Edgar Winters). After listening to this CD, Groove Hog keyboardist Brian Gruselle brought it into a rehearsal saying “You guys gotta hear this stuff and then we gotta start to play it.
Within 2 weeks, this tune was ready to go and it’s been getting better ever since. The groove is infectious, the brass is tight, and the whole tune is guaranteed to get you popping!
